This wine – named Bonne Nouvelle, which means "good news" – is among the masterpieces of Michel Rolland's storied career. Unquestionably the world's most celebrated winemaker, Michel is responsible for legendary cult wines like Harlan and Ausone. Recognizing the urgent need for clean water in Ethiopia, Michel has poured his heart and soul into making this South African wine and providing families in drought-stricken Dale with the water they so desperately need. Thanks to Michel 's generosity, we will send $20 per bottle directly to Wine to Water – which will fund four wells in Dale, saving 8,000 people.

Hand-crafted from the best vines on a stunning mountainside vineyard in the famed Stellenbosch region, the 2003 Bonne Nouvelle is a beautifully rendered reflection of South African terroir. This perfectly-matured blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Pinotage boasts an alluring bouquet of black currants and forest pine, a complex palate layered with dense cherry, graphite and delicate smoke, and an enduring finish that coats the mouth with mint chocolate and fine tannins. Combining the power of a Napa Cab and the elegance of a top Bordeaux, the 2003 Bonne Nouvelle is a first-class expression of concentrated fruit, searing aromatics, and rich texture – a pleasure and a privilege to drink.

With each bottle you enjoy, you will save a life by giving a person permanent access to clean water. Help us bring good news to the families of Ethiopia while savoring the beauty of the Bonne Nouvelle.
