2018 Montesquieu Keplinger Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
It’s a privilege to once again work with Helen Keplinger, this time exploring the Sonoma Coast terroir with our 2018 Montesquieu Keplinger Pinot. Food & Wine’s 2012 Winemaker of the Year, Helen has crafted a gorgeous Pinot Noir that wows you with its concentration, complexity, and elegance all at once. Deep purple in color, the nose delivers a bouquet of sweet raspberry and toasted vanilla with hints of pomegranate and allspice. The palate reveals rich raspberry and black cherry flavors and a smooth velvety mouthfeel that comes to life thanks to the wine’s heightened acidity. Classic notes of damp earth, mushroom, and spice emerge in the finish and offer a glimpse of a wine that should evolve beautifully over the next 10-12 years.
